Pakistan Peoples Party representative Aitzaz Ahsan will meet with Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf’s senior leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi to determine the course of action the opposition should take, after damning revelations from the Panama Papers regarding the Prime Minister’s immediate family members.
PTI chief Imran Khan had already announced earlier that his party would protest by staging a sit-in outside Raiwind House if an independent inquiry wasn’t conducted regarding the disclosures of the Panama Papers.
However, PPP has so far not voiced any such desire to take to the streets against the Prime Minister. PPP senator and a senior leader of the party, Saeed Ghani stated that his party would not support PTI’s dharna campaign outside Raiwind House.
Yesterday, Aitzaz Ahsan subjected Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar to severe criticism regarding the Panama Leaks controversy. Chaudhry Nisar also held a press conference later and refuted all allegations made by Aitzaz and slammed him by urging him to reflect on his own self before hurling accusations.
