Addressing to PTI’s supporters in Islamabad, Imran Khan said this is the first time residents of Karachi suspended their activities of their own will. He said the passion of Karachites was overwhelming.
“From my way to airport I saw complete shut down in the city”, he added.
PTI Chief said Karachi is the city with high ratio of killing but during PTI’s protest not even a single incident of violence happened.
“I have never seen such a peaceful protest in Karachi before”, told Khan.
The latest round of protests against PML-N government led by Imran Khan disrupted life in parts of Karachi on Friday. Major shopping areas were closed and there was no public transport available during the protest.
The protest portrayed a complete different picture as compared to that of Faisalabd, where PTI worker was shot dead as hundreds of protesters clashed with riot police armed with water cannon and batons during a rally.
Imran had warned that PTI will paralyse the country on December 18 if their demands are not met.
