PAT urges Pakistan Army to provide justice to Model Town victims

LAHORE: Chairman of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Pakistan Army should provide justice to the victims of Model Town incident like they did with the martyrs of Army Public School (APS) in Peshawar, ARY News reported.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri chaired a meeting of PAT’s Central Executive Council. A resolution was presented in the meeting in which the party has urged Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif to arrest the mastermind of Model Town incident.

It was also mentioned in the petition that the incumbent rulers are not providing justice to the victims of the Model Town tragedy therefore the military should play its role in providing justice to the slain and wounded persons.

At least 14 people were killed and more than 90 were reportedly injured when activists of PAT and Police locked horns in Lahore’s Model Town area.
