PCB lifts Umar Akmal’s suspension

LAHORE: Middle order batsman Umar Akmal will be available for the first Twenty20 international against New Zealand after Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) lifted the player’s suspension, ARY News reported.

Umar Akmal was slapped with a one match ban after he violated the dress code during a domestic game.

The cricketer had filed an appeal against his ban after which PCB formed a tribunal to investigate the matter.

The cricket board, in its release, mentioned that the ban will not be enforced till the tribunal reaches its decision and the player will be available for the first T20 match of the series.

Pakistan will face New Zealand in the first Twenty20 match of the three-game series on Friday.
