Peace reviving in Karachi, says PM

HARIPUR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said peace has started reviving in Karachi following prudent decisions of the government, ARY News reported.

Incidents of extortion, kidnapping for ransom and target killings have been brought to an end in the provincial metropolis, he said while addressing PML-N workers in Haripur.

He said the economy has been turned around in the last two years and the next three years will be the years of development and prosperity.

He said power plants are being installed and ten thousand megawatt of electricity will be added to the national grid by 2017-18. It is our foremost agenda to end the gas and power outages during the tenure of the present government.

He said the back of the terrorists has been broken in the decisive operation. Appreciating the sacrifices of security personnel, he said the anti-terrorism operation has started yielding positive results.

He said that the federal government will launch mega development projects including motorways and highways in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to make it completely a new province.
