Pemra restricts use of noble titles before terrorists, criminals’ names

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) on Saturday issued directives for not using noble titles before the names of terrorists and criminals, ARY News reported.

According to details, Pemra issued directives to all media outlets barring them from addressing terrorists or criminals with noble titles like maulana, engineer, Dr etc.

“A terrorist/criminal should be called only by his name,” directed the regulatory authority.

The directives will give a new meaning to Pakistan’s war against terrorism and a man will be called by virtue of his deeds.
