The prices of Urea bags have been slashed by the companies by Rs 60 each after gas prices were revised.
The industry sources said that the production cost has decreased owing to lessened gas tariff. Urea bag now costs Rs 1,790 from the previous Rs 1,850.
Analysts have said that the price is likely to be slashed further in the coming days as the country has enough stocks of the commodity. Farmers are reaping benefits of lessened production cost of different crops including cotton, rice and sugarcane.
