Petroleum Ministry says country not facing fuel shortage

According to spokesperson of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, around 14,728 metric tons of petrol was supplied to the petrol stations by noon on Sunday.

The spokesperson said average consumption of the petrol in the country is 12,000 metric tons daily. “Oil companies have stock of ninety thousand metric tons of petrol.”

He said 32 metric ton of additional petrol is being off-loaded at Karachi Seaport. He said 11 more ships carrying three hundred fifty thousand metric tons of petrol will reach Pakistan during this month.

“Demand and supply of the fuel is being monitored round the clock,” added the spokesperson.
