PFA seizes 'suspected unsafe' meat during raid

LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority PFA conducted a raid on railway station Lahore after recce and seized suspected unsafe meat.

The PFA officials also seized vehicle and driver while samples have been taken and sent to lab for further investigations.

In another raid, PFA team inspected canteens of American Lycetuff Shah Jamal. The inspection team sealed the canteens owing to substandard snacks, food handlers without medicals.

Similarly in a separate raid, heavy fine imposed to SUBWAY restaurant at M.M. Alam Road due to dirty filters and fungal growth in filters. The inspection team also found uncovered dustbins.
