PIA flight escapes disaster at Lahore Airport

LAHORE: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight survived a disaster at Allama Iqbal International Airport here in Lahore on Wednesday, ARY News reports.

Sources reported that PIA flight PK-758, arriving from London, made an emergency landing at Lahore Airport after its landing gear was jammed.

Two tyres of the aircraft were also jammed during the landing. Fortunately, all passengers and crew remained safe during the hard landing.

The runway has been closed whereas the plane was removed from the crash site.

The incident took place as the PIA airliner was forced to land at a smaller runway as the other runways were closed, sources said.
