PIA flight makes emergency landing following bird-strike

KARACHI: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight made an emergency landing at Turbat following a bird-strike on Friday, ARY News reports.

According to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the pilots of PIA flight No. PK-501, that was heading to Sharjah from Karachi, safely landed the aircraft at Turbat Airport in Balochistan after the plane hit a bird.

The administration of the airliner decided to take all the passengers of the Sharjah bound flight to Karachi after the news of the incident was aired on ARY News.

The aircraft has also been taken to Sindh’s provincial capital for maintenance work.
