MANCHESTER: A Toronto-bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight had to make an emergency landing at Manchester Airport after all of its toilets on board got blocked.
A foreign news agency reported that a PIA flight PK-798 — heading to Toronto from Lahore — had to make a landing at Manchester Airport on 19th November after all of its toilets were blocked as the passengers had thrown something solid in it.
According to a statement by the national airliner, the aircraft was diverted to Manchester as its toilets got choked due to something solid thrown by passengers.
“As all toilets are connected with a common drain line, rest of the toilets were also choked,” the statement read.
PIA also said that the inconvenience caused to the passengers is regretted.
The statement also said that the chairman of the national airliner was of the view that the passengers are required to follow and read the warning signs mentioned in the airliner.
