In Karachi, PIA employees staged a sit-in inside the chairman corridor and chanted slogans against the proposed privatization plan.
The demonstration also echoed with ‘Go Nawaz Go’ and ‘Go Ishaq Go’ chants.
The protest was also attended by female employees, who were seen voicing slogans and blowing whistles. A few remained busy taking selfies during the demonstration.
A similar protest was staged in Lahore at which the participants termed the PIA Corporation Conversion Ordinance as ‘Dahi Balle‘ ordinance.
A few days ago, President Mamnoon Hussain had issued the PIA privatization ordinance.
