Plights of flood victims near to end: Shahbaz

CHINIOT: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Friday said government would not leave the flood victims to fend for themselves until their complete rehabilitation, ARY News reported.

He said the first tranche of compensation had already been distributed among flood victims.

Addressing the flood-affectees in Chiniot, the CM said government would leave the flood victims until they were resettled and rehabilitated. He said second phase of compensation amount had been started from November 10.

The CM said flood victims should not worry; their plights are near to end.

Shahbaz said Rs 600 million were being distributed among flood victims in Chiniot.

He was of the view that rescue and civil administration played vital role in addressing the needs of flood-hit people.
