PM advises President to delay Saulat Mirza's hanging for 30 days

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday sent an advice to President Mamnoon Hussain to delay the execution of Saulat Mirza for 30 days, ARY News reported.

According to details, the 30-day postponement of the execution will begin from April 1.

Earlier this week, an Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi had issued fresh death warrant of condemned prisoner Saulat Mirza for April 1st.

This was the third time that death warrant of Saulat Mirza was issued. Previously, he was scheduled to be executed on March 19 at 5:30 AM.

But his execution was postponed at eleventh hour for 3 days on presidential orders after his video statement in which he made shocking revelations and confessions about target killings and allegations on leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
