PM asks to arrange PIA planes for Pakistanis stranded in Yemen

ISLAMABAD: On the directives of Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, a plan to evacuate stranded Pakistanis in Yeman has been made, ARY News reported.

According to spokesman of PM House, in a bid to evacuate Pakistanis from Yemen on immediate basis, PM Nawaz has advised to arrange two airplanes of Pakistan International Airline (PIA).  The airplanes will fly to Yemen as soon as they receive clearance from aviation authorities and the Embassy of Pakistan in Sanaa.

As state system is collapsing in the war-torn country, most airports are no more functional, because of which some families would also be safely taken, in the form of convoys, to Yemen’s neighbouring countries and airlifted to Pakistan from there, the statement added.

Nawaz Shairf has also directed the Embassy of Pakistan in Yemen to take all possible measures for ensuring safety of each and every member of the Pakistani community living in Yemen.

In a message, PM Nawaz has said that our heart beats are with every Pakistani, who is in distress and trouble, no matter where they are residing.
