He was addressing a function in connection with the cheques distribution among the small farmers under the Prime Minister’s Kissan Package.
PM said besides other development projects university and flyovers would also be constructed in Lodhran.
He said the government gave top priority to reduce cost of agriculture outputs.
The Prime Minister said the government has announced Kissan Package worth Rs 341 billion unprecedented in the history of the country.
He said those who claimed love for the farmers have caused delay in the implementation of the package.
PTI has written a letter to the election commission, urging the authority to bar PM from visiting districts where local elections are to be held.
The party termed the PM’s announcement a pre-poll rigging.
