PM announces upgradation of schools, colleges in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday announced that all the 422 schools and colleges in the capital territory will be upgraded and equipped with state of the art facilities.

He formally launched the education reforms program in Islamabad today.

Addressing the launching ceremony of the reforms program at Islamabad Model School for Girls Panjgaran, he said the government was determined to ensure quality education for all and ensure enrollment of all the children in schools.

The Prime Minister also announced purchase of 200 new buses for capital territory schools.

He directed that all facilities should be provided in the school and colleges for imparting quality education to the students.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Maryam Nawaz, Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, Minister of State for CADD Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and other high-ranking officials.
