Addressing a gathering of traders in Islamabad, Nawaz Sharif said that strong national economy will help to curb terrorism and address other problems.
Prime Minister said that the government has devised policies with consultation of the business community. He called traders to come forward and help the govrernment to steer the country on the path of progress and prosperity.
Nawaz Sharif also said that the peace in Karachi is must for development of the country and vowed to improve the law and order in the city.
The prime minister said that as a result of his government’s measures, the situation is much better that it was three to four years ago.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said the Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme would be presented in the parliament and after the approval beneficiaries of the scheme will get legal cover.
He said everyone except the members of Parliament and provincial assemblies can take benefit of the scheme. He said those convicted in terrorism, money laundering and under anti-narcotics laws could not take benefit of this scheme.
