PM 'assures' MQM of redressing its genuine grievances

Talking to media after meeting the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad, Sattar said copies of arms licenses of weapons seized at Nine Zero have been provided to the prime minister and other institutions concerned.

On the other hand, PML-N leader and Railways Minister Khwaja Saad Rafique said MQM had been assured that operation in Karachi neither against any political party nor it will be directed against specific political elements.

He said underworld existed in Karachi and it’s utterly wrong if any political party says it has no militant wings.

In his media interaction, Farooq Sattar reiterated that no criminal was sheltered at the Nine Zero.

Sattar assured cooperation of MQM in eliminating crimes and terrorism from the country.

He reiterated none of the MQM workers obstructed law enforcement agencies in their action.

“We also raised issue of Saulat Mirza’s video in a meeting with Prime Minister,” he informed. The MQM leader made it clear that the party had no responsibility of people living around Nine Zero.

Speaking on the occasion, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said Prime Minister has assured of inquiring facts and addressing all genuine grievances of the MQM.

The MQM delegation comprised Farooq Sattar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Rasheed Godal.
