PM to chair key meeting to finalize anti-terror strategy

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of parliamentary leaders is being held in Islamabad today [Wednesday] to finalise a national action plan to counter terrorism and extremism.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will chair the meeting. The plan has been prepared by a Parliamentary Committee in consensus with all political stakeholders.

The National Action Plan Committee on Counter-terrorism has finalised its recommendations to fight terrorism.

The Committee after holding two lengthy sessions with Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in the chair in Islamabad thoroughly discussed proposals by joint working group.

Director General ISI Lt. General Rizwan Akhtar and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Shareef will also attend the meeting.
