PM chairs federal cabinet meeting

ISLAMABAD: An important meeting of the federal cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been underway here on Monday, ARY News reports.

The meeting will consider over the losses in floods in the country and relief activities for the flood-hit people, sources said.

The cabinet will also discuss the political crisis and a strategy to tackle it, sources further said. The prime minister will take the cabinet members into confidence over the government’s strategy and will consult the cabinet to end the ongoing political stalemate.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will take the cabinet members into confidence over his forthcoming visit to the United States to attend the United Nations General Assembly session.

Water and Power minister will brief the cabinet about the demand and supply gap of electricity and measures to address the problem.
