PM chairs meeting to review security situation

ISLAMABAD: A high level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday resolved to root out the menace of terrorism and extremism from the country, ARY News reported.

The meeting was attended by Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, federal interior and finance ministers, DG ISI and other top civil and military officials.

The participants of the meeting expressed satisfaction over the progress of the ongoing military operation against terrorism. It was noted with satisfaction that the operation has made significant gains.

The meeting also discussed the internal security and other issues related to the national security.

The meeting strongly condemned the Wednesday’s terrorist attack in Peshawar on a bus carrying government government officials.

The meeting resolved to root out the scourge of terrorism and extremism from the country.
