PM convenes meeting to outline future action on Kashmir issue

LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has convened a special cabinet meeting on Friday in Lahore to discuss the rapidly deteriorating situation in occupied Kashmir and chalk out future course of action on this issue, ARY News reported.

The cabinet will discuss the oppressive actions of Indian security forces against innocent civilians and the overall situation in Kashmir after brutal assassination of Burhan Wani. The prime minister will take the cabinet into confidence on the measures taken so far in this regard.

Earlier, on the directions of the prime minister, Indian High Commissioner was summoned to the Foreign Office and strong concerns of Pakistani government and people on rapidly deteriorating human rights situation in Kashmir was conveyed to him.
