PM Nawaz assures all support to IDPs of NWA operation

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has assured of providing all-possible assistance to the displaced person after the launch of military operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan Agency (NWA), ARY News reported Tuesday.

The PM ordered providing financial assistance to the internally displaced persons of NW operation. Around 60,000 persons have left Bannu after military operation that began in NWA on Sunday. Pakistan Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has termed affectees of operation as ‘IDPs’.

Local tribal people claim that 7,000 people have migrated to Afghanistan, which connects to the border of North Waziristan.

Sources told that a camp had been established for IDPs where provision of doctors, electricity and water had been ensured.

On the other side, Afghan government has announced to provide $300 per family migrating to Afghanistan from volatile NWA.
