PM Nawaz chairs meeting on energy projects

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that power generation projects will be completed on time, ARY News reports.

PM Sharif chaired a meeting of the cabinet committe for energy here in Islamabad on Friday (today) in which Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal and Federal Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi were present.

It was decided that Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) power plants will be set up to overcome the power crisis in the country.

He said that the power projects will be completed on time whereas priorities will be given to water and wind based projects.

PM Nawaz Sharif stated that additional electricity will be added to the national grid before the summer season.

The premier urged to remove obstacles to launch the long term power projects in the country.
