PM Nawaz chairs meeting on security of PTI's Nov 30 rally

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday presided a high level meeting to discuss the security affairs pertaining to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) public meeting in Islamabad on November 30, ARY News reported.

The Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan briefed the meeting about the overall security situation of the country, specifically Islamabad. During the meeting, the matter of a huge public gathering by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in Islamabad also came under discussion.

The statesmen pondered upon possible outcomes of the PTI rally and security affairs pertaining to it.

The meeting also held consultation over electoral reforms in the country and the appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).

Later, the chief of Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUIF), Maulana Fazlur Rahman also called on the Prime Minister and discussed with him affairs relating to the ongoing military offensive in North Waziristan and the internally displaced persons (IDPs).
