PM Nawaz, COAS discuss post-Wagah blast security situation

ISLAMABAD: The Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday discussed the overall security situation of the country, ARY News reported.

During a meeting in Islamabad, the COAS and the PM discussed security situation in the wake of Wagah border blast.

The prime minister praised professional capabilities of Pakistan Army.

The PM also hailed the spirit of army for its fight against terrorism.

He said there was now a need for restoring National Counter Terrorism Authority (Necta). The nation is united in fight against terrorism, he added.

“Until terrorism ends, a comprehensive policy has to be adopted,” the PM maintained.
