PM Nawaz, Gen. Raheel attend CTF passing out parade in Quetta

QUETTA: Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Gen. Raheel Sharif attended the passing out parade of Counter-Terrorism Force in Quetta on Thursday, ARY News reported.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was the chief guest of the parade. Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, Commander Southern Command General Nasir Janjua and Speaker Balochistan Assembly were also present in the passing out parade ceremony.

The first batch of the force has passed out from Quetta’s counter terrorism training academy. Pakistan Army instructors conducted the 30 days training of  200 commandos including 18 lady constables of the Counter-Terrorism Force.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Army Chief Raheel Sharif felicitated the meritorious trainees and distributed awards and certificates among the participants of the course.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister of Balochistan Dr. Abdul Malik praised sacrifices made by the police in order to maintain law and order in the province.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been in Quetta on two-day visit. He will also visit residence of late Nawab Akber Bugti to call on his son.
