PM Nawaz leaves for SAARC summit today

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will leave for Nepal’s capital Khatmandu to attend the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) summit on Tuesday (today), ARY News reports.

According to Foreign Office, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will lead the Pakistani delegation in the SAARC conference.

The prime minister, in his address, will present the vision for peaceful and developed South Asia.

He is also expected to meet leaders from Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka alongwith other states as well. PM’s advisor on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that the meeting of Pakistani and Indian PM Narendra Modi has not been scheduled as yet.

It should be noted that PM Nawaz will be attending the SAARC conference for a record sixth time.
