Independent Chaudhry Riaz-ul-Haq had emerged victorious from NA-144 Okara constituency defeating PML-N and PTI candidates Ali Arif Chaudhry and Ashraf Sohna.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and PTI Chairman Imran Khan both telephoned Haq and congratulated him on winning the election by a huge margin.
The prime minister himself has requested the NA-144 winning candidate to join Pakistan Muslim League.
Earlier, Organizer of PTI’s Punjab wing Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar arrived at Haq’s residence to invite him to join the political party.
