PM Nawaz should take notice of ‘tamasha’ which is going on: Waqar

LAHORE: Head coach of Pakistan cricket team Waqar Younis on Wednesday said that he had no ego issues, ARY News reported.

Speaking to media here in an angry tone, he added Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should take notice of the tamasha which is going on.

Waqar Younis said that several persons were acting in their own interests.

“I have been listening to anchor persons sitting on televisions for the past several years. Where is my ego,” Younis asked.

Younis said that didn’t knew what the agenda of some persons were.

The team coach added that he had told the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to keep his report of the side’s performance in the 2016 World Twenty20 confidential. He went to say that he doesn’t know how it got leaked.

He added that it seemed as if someone did not like his assessment report.

“My report was made fun of,” he said in an angry voice.

He said that Chairman PCB Shahryar Khan and Head of PCB’s executive committee Najam Sethi did not talk to him. “I had come here to meet them,” he went on to say.

“I was three doors away from them yet we were communicating via mobile phone,” Younis said.
