Pakistan’s Prime Minister would address the General Assembly on September 30 (Wednesday).

Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhary briefed newsmen in New York.

He said the Prime Minister would highlight three points in his address to the UN session. He would project Pakistan’s efforts for promotion of regional and global peace and brief the global community about situation on the Line of Control and Working Boundary as well as the Kashmir issue.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Foreign Secretary replying a question said that increase in permanent seats at the UN Security Council is no solution to any problem”. He said Pakistan supports constructive reforms in UN.

He said Pakistan’s role in war against terror is an established reality and the international community appreciates Pakistan’s contribution to anti-terrorism efforts.

Responding to another question, Foreign Secretary said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will have meetings with a number of world leaders including President of China on the sidelines of the General Assembly session.
