According to details, PM Nawaz Sharif reached the Sukkur Barrage along with the CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah to review the flood situation here on Friday. On this occasion, officials gave a detailed briefing to the prime minister about the flood situation in Sindh.
He was also briefed about the Katcha areas hit by the low-flood coming down from Punjab and the number of masses affected due to it.
Sources told that the premier was also informed about the dilapidation of the Sukkur Barrage, while discussions were held with him on the formation of new dykes and barrages in Sindh.
