PM Nawaz vows to eliminate the extremist mindset
The prime minister was presiding over a meeting in Lahore to discuss security after a terrorist attack in a park in the city that claimed 72 lives including women and children.
Nawaz Sharif called for more proactive coordination among the law enforcement and intelligence agencies to defeat the evil designs of terrorists.
He said our goal is not only to eliminate terror infrastructure but also the extremist mindset which is threat to our way of life.
The prime minister urged the provinces to speed up intelligence-based operations against terrorists. “We must take this war to the doors of terrorist outfits before they are able to hit our innocent country men, he said.
He said Our resolve is getting stronger against terrorism adding that the enemy is hitting soft targets in utter desperation.
He said the terrorists have assassinated our kids, sons and daughters in this war and God willing we will wipe them out from the country.
The meeting was briefed by heads of law enforcement and intelligence agencies on security situation and progress on investigations into Lahore attack.
