PM praises air force role in Zarb-e-Azb

ISLAMABAD Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday visited the Air Headquarters in Islamabad and met Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt here, ARY News reported.

On his arrival, the PM was briefed on operational capacities of Pakistan Air Force and its role in the ongoing operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ against militants in North Waziristan.

Both the dignitaries discussed matters related to mutual interest and external security.

Prime minister was briefed about operational readiness of Pakistan Air Force and the role played during Operation Zarb-e-Azb.

PM Sharif assured full support for development plans of Pakistan Air Force, to be executed in future.

The PM praised the lead role played by the air force during Zarb-e-Azb. He expressed satisfaction over completion of upgradation programs and induction of new equipment in the PAF.

Earlier on arrival at the air headquarters, a smartly turned out contingent presented guard of honor to the prime minister. Mr. Sharif also laid a floral wreath at martyrs’ monument.
