Shahbaz briefs high-level meeting on Saudi visit

ISLAMABAD: A high-level meeting presided over by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reviewed the Yemen situation and expressed hope that the crisis in the warn-torn country will be solved peacefully, ARY News reported.

Sources told that the meeting expressed satisfaction on the efforts being made by government and people of Pakistan to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Saudi brothers.

The meeting agreed to play a constructive role for a peaceful resolution of the crisis in Yemen.

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif briefed the meeting about the outcome of his discussions with the leadership of the Kingdom, during a recent visit with a delegation.

The meeting was told that Shahbaz Sharif reiterated to the Saudi leaders unequivocal support of the government and people of Pakistan to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia.

Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz, Foreign Secretary Aziz Chaudhry, Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and General Rashad Mehmood were also present among others.
