PM questions UN’s failure in implementing Kashmir resolutions

Addressing a Joint Sitting of AJK Legislative Assembly Council here, the PM said no Pakistan can ever forget Kashmir. He told the House that Pakistan Wants peace, not clash in the region.

He said Pakistan is committed to a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute based on UN resolutions.

Mr. Sharif said Indo-Pak talks were expected to head forward in coming days. “We assure India complete support to end terrorism.”

He underlined that solution to Pak-India problems lie in negotiations.

Earlier, in a message on Kashmir Solidarity Day, the prime minister said, “Pakistan reminds the international community of its responsibilities in the matter and urges it to fulfill its promise made with the people of Jammu and Kashmir 68 years ago.”

The Prime Minister said peace in the region would remain elusive until the resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the will of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said the Government and the people of Pakistan reiterate their continued and steadfast political, moral and diplomatic support to the people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their heroic struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination.

He said the valiant people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir have rendered unmatched sacrifices in their just struggle.

However, all the Indian brutalities and atrocities have failed to deter the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir from their cause for freedom from Indian oppression, he added.
