The meeting, which is in progress in Islamabad, was attended by ministers of the ruling government.
During the meeting, the PM also sought details of progress regarding about overbilling in electricity bills. In reply, Minister for Water and Power Khwaja Muhammad Asif informed him about the steps taken by the ministry to prevent overbilling in the future.
The minister said his ministry was compensating the consumers in this regard.
Khawaja Asif said the power ministry was implementing the directions of the federal cabinet regarding overbilling.
Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal briefed the cabinet about the progress of his ministry during the last one-and-a-half-year.
