PM Sharif offers condolences over demise of former Saudi FM Saud al-Faisal

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday expressed sorrow and offered his condolences over the demise of former Saudi foreign minister Saud al-Faisal saying he was a great friend of Pakistan, ARY News reported.

The prime minister in his condolatory statement said that Saud al-Faisal remained a well wisher of Pakistan, while his demise deprived Saudi and Pakistani people of a great leader.

He also termed Saud al-Faisal to be a ‘great friend’ of Pakistan.

Saud al-Faisal had taken over the office of Saudi foreign minister in 1975 and served the kingdom for 40 years, he was however replaced two months ago.
