PM Sharif fought Kashmir’s case in UN strongly, says Lodhi

NEW YORK: Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dr. Maleeha Lodhi has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in General Assembly session highlighted the ongoing situation in Kashmir in a strong manner.

Speaking exclusively with ARY News, Dr. Lodhi said that PM Sharif fully highlighted the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and the situation of human rights in the General Assembly session.

Lodhi said that the prime minister informed UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon regarding the atrocities being carried out by Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Jalil Abbas Jilani declared PM’s visit to US a success. He said that the premier highlighted India’s state-sponsored terrorism in Indian-held Kashmir.

Jilani stated that the prime minister discussed bilateral ties with various heads of states and government leaders in the meetings on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session.
