PM Sharif leaves to attend King Abdullah's last rites

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has left for Saudi Arabia to attend the funeral prayers of late King Abdullah who passed away on Friday, ARY News reports.

Pakistan has announced a day of mourning over the death of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz. The national flag will fly at half mast on the occasion.

PM Sharif, expressing grief over the Saudi king’s death, said that Shah Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz held a special place in the heart of every Pakistani as the custodian of two holy mosques.

The premier extended his condolences with the royal family and the Saudi nation on the death of the king and said that Pakistan stands with them in this time of sorrow.
