PM Sharif to fly to Saudi Arabia on Thursday

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will leave for Saudi Arabia on Thursday, where he will hold an important meeting with the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, while the Imam e Ka’aba Sheikh Khalid al Ghamidi will also arrive in Pakistan on the same day, ARY News reported.

According to details, PM Nawaz Sharif will fly to Saudi Arabia on April 23 where he will meet the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz. The Pakistan premier is likely to discuss the situation in Middle East and the Yemen conflict.

The meeting holds vital significance in view of Pakistan’s ties with the Gulf States, which are seen to be a bit strained after it [Pakistan] declined to land its troops in Yemen in contrast with Saudi wishes.

On the other hand, Imam e Ka’aba Sheikh Khalid al Ghamidi will also arrive in Islamabad on a six-day visit to Pakistan on Thursday.

The spokesperson with the Foreign Office, Tasneem Aslam told that that the Imam e Ka’aba was arriving Pakistan upon an invitation extended to him by the government.

Sheikh Khalid al Ghamidi will deliver the Friday sermon at Faisal Masjid Islamabad, while he will also address different gatherings here.

Apart from this, the Sheikh Ghamidi will also hold meetings key ministers and officials here.
