PM, top military brass review overall security situation

ISLAMABAD: A high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is underway in Islamabad to review security situation in the country.

The meeting’s top agenda is to review overall security situation with particular reference to the terrorist attack on Badaber PAF camp and sharing of evidences with Afghanistan in this regard.

Pakistan maintains that the attackers of Badaber came from Afghanistan and the attack was planned and coordinated from the neighboring country.

Civil-military leadership also discuss ways to tackle terrorism activities being controlled from the neighbouring country.

The meeting will also discuss border management strategy and implementation of National Action Plan on terrorism.

Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, DG ISPR Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa, DG MO Major General Aamir Riaz, DG MI Major General Nadeem Zaki are attending the meeting.
