ANKARA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that all political parties should cooperate for the country’s progress and development, ARY News reported.

He made the statement while speaking to media persons before leaving for Pakistan.

Sharif stated that Pakistan welcomes Turkey’s wishes of joining China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He said that inclusion of Turkey and Central Asian countries in CPEC will bring a boost to the project.

The prime minister said that he discussed several issues — including the crisis in Syria, enhancing economic ties and Free Trade Agreements with Turkey — with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

He said that Pakistan wants Afghanistan to be peaceful and stable. Pakistan’s premier said that the 60 percent of the development work on the highway between Peshawar and Afghanistan’s Jalalabad, has been completed.

Talking on the energy crisis in his country, Sharif said that there is a profound difference between the energy crisis of 2013 and 2017.

Sharif replying a question said it is welcoming to see that the media itself is discussing the irresponsible reporting and said self-accountability is the best approach.
