PM vows continuing operation in NWA until it is not cleared

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif has said that a vigorous action has been initiated against militants in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) and the operation Zarb-e-Azb shall be continued till the eradication of all the local and foreign terrorists – ARY News reports.

The statement was made during his meeting with the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Chief, Air Chief Marshal, Tahir Rafique Butt  here on Tuesday, during which both the personalities exchanged their views on professional affairs of the PAF.

The Prime Minister praised the role of PAF regarding the defence of the country. He said that the operation Zarb-e-Azb was decided after due consultation and a full-fledged action has already begun against terrorists.

PM Nawaz said that the militants in North Waziristan will be dealt with iron-handedly and there shall be no discrimination.

He stressed on establishing state writ in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), at all cost.

The Prime Minister said that the armed forces of Pakistan will not give any concession to the terrorists sabotaging peace of the state and the Government of Pakistan will utilize all its resources for the success of the operation Zarb-e-Azb.

Moreover, he told that the Government has also devised a comprehensive program for development in tribal region and once the operation is accomplished, the process of development in tribal areas will be accelerated.
