PM vows not to let anyone harm forces’ prestige

ISLAMABAD: A telephonic contact was made between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the Army Chief General Raheel Sharif yesterday, during which some key security affairs came under discussion, ARY News reported citing sources.

During the conversation, the civil-military leadership discussed overall situation of the country and Operation Zarb-e-Azb. Affairs pertaining to Karachi Operation also came under discussion on the occasion, sources said.

In his conversation with the army chief, PM Nawaz Sharif said the forces have rendered immortal sacrifices in the war against terrorism and the entire nation is proud of them.

He vowed not to let anyone harm the prestige of the armed forces of Pakistan.

“The nation and the armed forces are on a single page in order to rid the country of terrorism menace,” said the premier.

The prime minister and the army chief also discussed the presence of military leadership at a key meeting at PM House tomorrow.
