PML-N isn't afraid of horse trading: Ahsan Iqbal

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said on Saturday that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) wasn’t afraid of horse trading in Punjab and several parties have agreed to save senate elections from horse trading and corruption, ARY News reported.

Speaking to media after attending a function in Lahore today, Ahsan Iqbal said that the government is trying to attain a consensus over a constitutional amendment for rooting out horse trading.

The minister said that the government is coordinating with all parliamentary parties and reservations of some parties will be addressed.

Replying to a question, he said that measures are being taken to bring transparency at every level to ensure good governance in the country.

Ahsan Iqbal said that a strategy is being devised for improving the working and efficiency of the government departments.
