PML-N leader displeased over Senate ticket in KP

PESHAWAR: Provincial president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN), Pir Sabir Shah on Thursday expressed displeasure after being asked by the party to file nomination papers for Senate elections as ‘covering candidate’, ARY News reported.

Addressing a press conference in Peshawar, PMLN Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) chapter’s president, Pir Sabir Shah said that he respects every decision made by the party leadership and he is pleased that the party gave ticket to Salahuddin Tirmzai.

However, he said that the party should not nominate him as an covering candidate for the seat.

He also said that he cannot file papers as an ‘endorser’, being the provincial head of the party and for this purpose he will have to quit from the party post.
