Addressing a press conference here, Rafique said that Imran Khan was making general election controversial after his dream to become Prime Minister did not materialise.
He slammed PTI chief Imran Khan for leveling ‘baseless allegations’ about rigging in last general election. It is strange, he added, Imran Khan had expressed full confidence in the caretaker set-up and the Chief Election Commissioner.
About Imran Khan’s objection to extra ballot papers, he said it is a standard operating procedure of the Election Commission to print extra ballot papers.
PML-N leader said PTI led government had not launched any major development project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Rafique urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to play the role of a constructive opposition for strengthening democracy and betterment of the people.
He pointed out that in one of the four constituencies, frequently referred to by PTI leader, PML-N candidate was not the winner, rather he got the third position.
